Our Love Of Wine
My Husband Rich and I have been in the wine business for 20 years.
For 13 years we owned a Wine Store New York Wine Cork Specializing in New York State Grown wines.
We designed a website with 1,200 New York State Wines, featuring tasting notes and labels of each wine.
Favorite Wine Organizations
We sponsored 2 bus tours to the Finger Lakes Wine Festival in Watkins Glen New York. We poured and sold Long Island Wines there a few years.Finger Lakes Wine Festival is a sweet wine crowd.
We had a wine club where we shipped out 2 bottle of carefully selected wines every month to interested New York Wine Enthusiasts. We shipped wines mostly in New York State. Laws for shipping Alcohol were too complicated.
Year 2000 We became a farm winery named New York Harvest Cellars. We shared the premise at Chateau Lafayette Reneau located on the east side (Banana Belt) of Seneca Lake New York.
2004 We moved our store to a larger premise in Glens Falls New York.
During that time we rebranded.
We changed our store name to UnCorked Glens Falls and started selling spirits and wines from all over the world.
UnCorked Glens Falls was large, brightly decorated with local art and high class design.
UNCORKED Glens Falls was not your regular wine and spirits shop.
We felt love and friendship with every customer. It felt like our home and we designed it with warm wine themed colors and décor.
We did weekly wine tasting and events with local businesses. We had town meetings and fun parties. Those were some of the best memories we have had.
We would frequently visit wine trade shows to sample or help pour wines.
We traveled to the wine regions in New York and California tasting, learning and meeting new wine friends. Always keeping up with the trends or new vintages.
We loved visiting with our winery friends and making new wine tasting friend along the way.
If you have never visited a winery, you definitely should. It’s a great place to meet happy people who like to have a good time.
Our store was on a main street, with no convenient parking. It was hard to compete with the larger wine & spirits stores on quantity and pricing.
Unfortunately no matter how much we loved our store and our customers we could not afford to stay open.
UnCorked Glens Falls Closed October 2013.
We have tossed a new log on the wine fire. Slowly getting back into the business.
Check out our wine clubs and carefully selected wines we have to offer. Keep Checking Back for news and new wines.
